Our American Shorthair Cats have been feed a raw food diet for the past year. They are both 18 months old. Raw food has agreed with both of them. Bob came to us with multiple ailments. Raw food has taken away all but one. His allergies, I think he is allergic to cats. Here is my raw food recipe. 1 pound ground range free Organic Turkey meat. 1 Taurine capsule 1 Vitamin A tablet 1 Vitamin D capsule 1 cup spring water 1 raw egg yolk (use eggs from free-range, antibiotic-free chickens if you can) 1 capsule raw glandular supplement (“Raw Multiple Glandular” from Premier Labs) Salmon oil capsule (wild caught) Vitamin B complex 400 IU Vitamin E (“dry E”) ¼ teaspoon of kelp and 1/4 teaspoon of dulse (1/2 teaspoon total) 1 teaspoon psyllium husk powder 1 tablespoon butter ½ packet Knox unflavored gelatin Use a needle to pierce or small scissors to open the salmon oil capsules We have cut up chicken thighs on the side. Not mixed with food although you can. About ¼ thigh each cat. Feed twice a day ¼ cup each serving. Occasionally you can add chicken livers and hearts cut up. They have the taurine cats need.
