Provide a healthy diet for your kitten. They will feed on moms milk initially, but will graduate to kitten food. You should provide a quality kitten food, such as natural kitten food, that wil provide them with vitamins and nutrients. They will help to build strong bones, good teeth and shiny coats. Limit the amount of milk that you feed them and refrain from feeding them table scraps.
You should have them vaccinated against disease even if they are indoor kitties. You should get them regular checkups with a vet and have their shots up to date. This will protect them from disease. You also need to protect them from parasites such as fleas and ear mites. Fleas are not just irritating, but can cause your kitten to have worms if injested. Fleas and ear mites are easily treatable. Your vet can help you choose the right medicine and dosage for your kitten.
Kittens love to play and providing them with toys, scratching posts and cat trees gives them an outlet for their energy. Playing with them is important too and is good for both of you.

A few days ago Mozes picked up the kittens and moved them to my bed. This seems to be a natural instinct to change nest every now and then. But I was not sure if I wanted that so I moved them back in their queening box. No good. She again moved them into my bed, under the blankets and renamed it Our Bed! At first I was worried that the kittens would not get enough air but there is no problem there. I also made a little tent with the use of the two halves of their transportation box just to be sure. They are mightily happy there! It is warm all around and they grow like ‘cabbage’ (Dutch saying) and at 12 days they had the weight of a 25 day old kitten. Since some of them have immensly disproportionate ‘big’ claws I guess Mozes has met up with some Big Papa. Mozes herself is loosing a lot of weight. I keep on feeding her fatty raw meat from these frozen sausages (the dog version, with uncleaned tripe) you get at the pet store, raw sheep brains that contain all the good Omega fat types, kitten food and add olive oil to the dish. I also mix 1/4th of kitten milk with 3/4 of water for her. That all goes down very well. Every 2 hours she eats like the first day I picked her off the street. She is small but she only weighed about 2 kilo’s then. With the raw meet you need to keep good check on the worm medicine. Anyway, not sure why but from the moment she moved the nest to the bedroom she was a little camera shy and easily irritated so I stopped filming. Possibly because she …

Cat food is connected to unhealthy pets. Common diseases are linked with cancer, obesity and high cholesterol. Just like human. The connection is simple, it’s the food! When you think about it, do you known exactly what is into the pet food you buy for your pet at the store? The pet food manufacturer industry use dead pets and contaminated unhealthy bones, antibiotics, drugs, additives, preservatives, food coloring that are deadly poisoning. www.youtube.com www.nocans.com www.dccfund.org Avoid getting your pets finishing like them when all it takes is a good diet and natural ingredients. My cat has been eating eating raw meat and bones for nearly a year now. It took him a little while to get used to the idea of actually USING his natural talents of tearing meat and slicing through bones, but now he LOVES it. It’s just the best feeling I get when i watch him chewing and gnawing happily. WARNING – DO NOT FEED COOKED BONES AS THEY WILL SPLINTER. Raw bones, do not splinter…cats eat bird/mouse bones all the time and they are tiny and very sharp, so these bones are no different. Cats/dogs are DESIGNED to do this! It is also safe because a carnivore’s stomach is incredibly acidic and will digest more efficiently than our own stomachs. Cats will be fussy about the smell of meat and will not eat it if it is going off, but dogs don’t care! This is because Cats and dogs have different amounts of acid in their stomachs. Both capable of digesting bones, but dogs are better at digesting bacteria . BEST OF LUCK – IT IS WORTH WHILE You will save money too, not just on vet bills, because cats/dogs fed on raw bones don’t get tartar build up and gingivitis, but also I get much of my raw meat and bones from the butchers scraps, which I get for free Give your cat a variety of meats, including beef heart, but avoid liver as it has too much vitamin A. Give only 1 teaspoon a week. Also give raw eggs. Start slowly. Don’t expect a mature cat to understand what to do straight away. Perhaps just start with raw meat, no bones. also I had to hand feed this cat for about a month …

A question that I’ve heard from many cat owners is “What flea treatment can be used on tiny kittens?” Many kittens that find homes through shelters or rescue groups may have come from litters born outside where the cats were susceptible to fleas. If the pregnant cat and/or kittens become infested with fleas, what are your options for safely treating these delicate pets? “Very Young” is a relative term when it comes to flea products. I’ve read several product brochures for flea products and even those that say they’re safe to use on very young puppies and kittens are not safe for animals under twelve weeks of age. Be sure to read the labels very carefully even if the product says “safe for cats and kittens.” I read one brochure for a natural flea control product that said specifically that the ingredients were safe for young, old, pregnant, nursing and debilitated animals, but further in the brochure it says it’s safe to treat kittens twelve weeks or older. Not many kittens are still nursing at twelve weeks of age. Natural doesn’t necessarily mean “Safe.” I reviewed a sampling of some of the chemical-free, or natural flea products that are available for cats and kittens. NaturVet herbal flea spray and powder says you can use these products on kittens as young as six weeks of age and is made with a blend of rosemary and cedar oils–but the product is stated to repel fleas, not kill fleas. Sentry Natural Defense flea & tick spray for cats and kittens is made with peppermint …
